CHURCH KEY SOCIAL

with special guests Dave Meinzer and Cathy Carfagna

Friday, May 11th | 8:00pm

Church Key Social radiate a sulky pop, aged and distilled through the wistful eyes of the Rust Belt. Painting all shades of bittersweet jangle and edgy truth. Featuring Dave Gilmet- guitar/vocals (BiPolaroids/Transonics), Mike Dagonese-Bass (The Slums/ Dirt War/Settlement),and Pete Kamien-Drums (Rear View Ramblers/Ed Wyner).

Opening for Church Key Social is husband and wife duo Cathy Carfagna and Dave Meinzer; they share a love for harmony-rich ‘60s pop, Americana, Tex-Mex, and rock ‘n ‘roll. Both singer/songwriters and multi-instrumentalists, Cathy and Dave are delighted to join David Gilmet and Church Key Social at Revolution Gallery on Friday, May 11, where they’ll perform an opening set of engaging originals and eclectic covers. A member of the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame, Dave is one of Buffalo’s “go-to” graphic designers for music-related projects, and is putting the final touches on a new solo recording for release later this year. Cathy keeps busy as a keyboard/accordion player and vocalist with an ever-evolving caravan of collaborators, currently including David Kane’s HEARsay, Italian pop band Baci e Ceci, the Vores, and the TLC Trio (among others).
