Gerlanda di Francia is an Italian artist. She has studied art since childhood, and prefers on using the classic techniques in her artwork; oil on canvas for painting, and pen for drawing.

When creating her artwork, she tries to make her improbable visions convincing, no matter how dreamlike or fantastic may they be.

Gerlanda explores the tragedy of our daily lives with the consciousness of those nightmares and anxieties that accompany us from childhood: In her artistic view, fairy tales do not only have “prince charmings”, but also ogres and wicked witches. We have to fight every day with these, in order for them not to crush us and make us become like them. Gerlanda’s artwork revolts against the destructive power, because it forces us to confront the evil and chaos in the everyday.

She has been exhibiting her artwork at Revolution Gallery since our “Mini Masterpieces 2019” exhibit, and has since participated in a four person show “Paradise Lost” and group show “The Year the Earth Stood Still” – both exhibits in 2021.
