Rob Don | Day 16
Robert Edward Donise is an American Artist who was born and raised in New Jersey, where he developed a love of storytelling through the consumption of all sorts of creative media throughout his childhood. Inspired by narratives driven primarily by Novels, Video Games & Film, Rob moved to Philadelphia in 2010 to pursue a career in 3D Animation in an effort to gain the tools and resources to tell the stories he’d developed over the years. Through a relatively brief chapter in higher education in Art Fundamentals and with the fuel of inspiration from certain incredible modern artists, Rob uncovered a glimpse of what is possible in the world of Fine Art and Illustration. Shifting his focus from creating film and media to creating Illustrative Dark Surrealism and Portraiture, Rob has developed a true passion for simple, yet complex picture making.
Rob is currently making an effort to emerge into the Fine Art Community and is working toward balancing goals based around a consistent studio practice and managing a professional online presence. A long term goal is to continue to hone the skills necessary to create a body of work that pushes the standard of quality expected in contemporary art, contributing to the movement of amazing modern artwork that inspires the potential for creative excellence, especially in future generations. His aim is to become an artist that strikes awe and ignites creative souls into action, much like the few artists that have truly and deeply inspired him into his passionate studio practice. Constantly in a current effort to evolve his craft, Rob Don can often be found in his studio space furthering his knowledge of the range of media he uses in his drawings and paintings.
Rob has exhibited at Revolution Gallery in The Year the World Stood Still.
Revolution Gallery is looking forward to working with Rob, and exhibiting his work in 2022!
