Did you know that haunted tales and ghost stories were traditionally told around a candle on Christmas Eve? In the early 1840s publications in England would publish ghost stories for family to share – Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” Henry James’ “Turn of the Screw,” and Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Raven.”
This small little raven candle should be lit, and a ghost story told to around it. Take part in a tradition that has all but vanished, and enjoy a good scare on Black Xmas eve.
