LONG LIVE THE KING!
25 Years of Suffering from Elvis Disease

A SOLO EXHIBITION BY DEREK HENDRICKSON

Opening Reception  |  Friday • August 16th, 2024  |  6:00pm to 11:00pm

Exhibit till Saturday September 27th

Derek Hendrickson is an incredible tattoo and fine artist (who has exhibited with Revolution Gallery in a few group shows). This is Derek’s first solo show at the gallery  – and we welcome his unique and weird Elvis sculptures!

According to Derek…

Elvis, being the pop culture god that he was/is seemed like a rather easy target for my satirical onslaught….and  it didn’t have anything to do with one buddy finding an Elvis bust at a garage sale whilst, simultaneously, another buddy was offering to teach me to make polyurethane molds. The rest as we say, was just overactive imagination (thank you to Cats Like Us for this quote from you interview with Derek).

Derek’s solo exhibit explores the pop culture impact that Elvis Presley has had on society, as well as the recognizable quality even though transformed into many different figures / creatures / ‘punny iterations.”

Join us to see what Derek has created!

Opening Reception – Friday, August 16th • 6:00pm to 11:00pm (Exhibit till the weekend of September 27th)
