Jason Hernandez | Day 7
Jason Hernandez studied Illustration at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena California, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, and he currently is a freelance artist and graphic designer in Marina del Rey California.
Jason’s artwork has a range; it shows his fascination with famous falls from grace, or scenes of the end of the world vs the beginning of a new one. His highly detailed work is brimming with contradictions such as scale confusion, religious iconography coupled with space ships, visual hierarchy. He creates these active acrylic and pen pieces using stippled dots and overlaying cross-hatching, and viewing his art is like finding imagery in an altar piece.
When Jason isn’t drawing he puts in the man-hours formulating a concoction for the world’s best cup of coffee.
Jason exhibited at Revolution Gallery’s four person show “Paradise Lost” which was perfect for him, given the nature and themes of that epic poem. We are excited to continue to work with Jason on an upcoming exhibit in 2022.
