We have all enjoyed a fortune cookie; it’s a sugary way to end a meal with a potentially vague prophecy. But what about “misfortune” cookies?

They are “…like a left hook: because you can be sure that they won’t predict eternal love or unimaginable wealth. The messages are crude, truthful and direct – the glimpse into the future brutally honest and pessimistic. So you’re left with no choice but to take them with a sense of humor” say the bakers who created them.

And they’re as black (our favorite color BLACK!) as our hearts during this dark and beautiful month of October!
