Revolution Gallery presents “transcendence“ – featuring original paintings by Veronica Jaeger, Michele Melcher, and Terry Ribera
Exhibit: May 10th to June 14th, 2019
VERONICA JAEGER – Veronica Jaeger was born and studied architecture in Venezuela until 2000 when she moved to the US and studied art at the University of Texas. She creates imaginative portraits from her invented world, finding inspiration from making something out of nothing, along with the feeling of disconnection from the reality of everyday. The elements in her art symbolize consciousness, transformation, life, death, and the impermanence of all forms and all things.
MICHELE MELCHER – Pennsylvania-based artist Michele Melcher has worked as a freelance illustrator for the past 12 years, specializing in editorial and advertising. Her fine art gallery artwork incorporates several different mediums including watercolor, pen and ink, graphite, and most recently, oil. “Folklore, legends, history, natural science and the supernatural… anything sparks the imagination. That’s the stuff that gets the wheels turning and seeps into my work. “ Her latest paintings pay homage to the decadence of the 18th and 19th century portrait masters as well as her interest in vanitas and memento moria art.
TERRY RIBERA – San-Diego based artist Terry Ribera is an accomplished tattoo artist at Remington Tattoo. His interest lies in Art Nouveau, Illustrative Tattoo Work, Biomechanical, and Japanese and Asian styles.
